The little story...

In November 1991, it was the opening of the one and only workshop-boutique La petite ferme du Mouton Noir on Beaubien Street in Montreal, not far from our current space.

It was in 1990, that the children's fashion line Le Mouton Noir is founded by its designer Chantal Laperrière, who graduated in fashion design. A nice collection, created for children from 0 to 12 years old, which stands out for the quality of manufacture, its attention to detail and the originality of the creations. Every season, Chantal and her team passionately create clothing and accessories that are practical, fun, colorful, that promote children's autonomy with its unique style.

The Mouton Noir is our house brand made in Montreal, ethical and responsible fashion created for your children and made with love by our seamstresses. Everything is played out in the materials used and the choice of fabrics, not to mention the fun prints.

The simple cuts are created to be able to play, move, jump, dance and have fun! For several years now, the line has expanded with the addition of an evolving clothing collection. In this magnificent range, we find multi-size garments that adjust and grow with the child, designed with an eco-responsible perspective and made to last a long time, in order to reduce your ecological footprint.

We also promote “upcycling, using our fabric scraps to make practical accessories, using our materials to the maximum. Collections from here and elsewhere chosen with care in addition to the Mouton Noir house collection, you will find a wide diversity of well-known brands, products and accessories chosen with care for your children.

We invite you to come and discover our local shop located at 2374 Beaubien Street East, you will love its uniqueness!

Chantal and her team!
