Handmade with natural materials, cotton cloth and heads are filled with wool that quickly absorbs odors. This means that the doll is impregnated with familiar smells.

Made from “fair trade”, meaning that this item was fabricated somewhere where business relationship with the manufacturer are primordial. 

This concept goes far beyond the refusal to get children to work, since these products were made by adults under respectful conditions and sold at a reasonable price.

Two different fair trade organizations make them, one in southern India, near Pondicherry and the other in Dakha, the capital of Bangladesh. They are affiliated with the International Federation for Fair Trade (IFAT), which oversees strict compliance with fair trade rules .
